Since I suspect we'll have some repeat questions, I'll update this post each time we come across something so please check here first!

So... Any questions about the application or the dashboard?

1. I have 3 trips on my iPhone app.
2. I activate dashboard using facebook connect on the iPhone app.
3. I login in to BMWActivateTheFuture.com with Facebook.
No trips are visible in the dashboard.

I was wondering how do I sync my trips from the iphone app to the dashboard. When I try to activate dashboard again it says I am already logged into Facebook.

I've been using the EVolve religiously for the past week . . .

That being said, there are a couple of problems that need to be addressed.

1.) When using the app to track your trips, it gets 'lost' around 73 miles driven. This has happened 3 - 4 times already in the last 7 days. One time, I was trying to simulate the drive to work - parked - the drive home. On my way home, after about 72 - 75 miles, I noticed that the mileage indicator stopped counting down. So I quickly ended the trip. Today, I thought I'd try breaking the compute up into 2 different trips w/o the parking. No luck, on the ride home, the app got lost again. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

2.) The battery life is the pits. If you're going to turn off the sleep timers, at least reduce the brightness of the display while the car is 'parked'

3.) Where do I actually go to see my dashboard now that its activated . . . OK, I haven't looked very hard, but it should pop right out.

I, too, am experiencing a problem with the Evolve App. I installed it on my iPhone yesterday. Was thrilled I would be able to use it for my drive home--which is ~50 miles. I am not sure when it stopped--but noticed that my phone had gone back to my home screen just as I was turning to get into my subdivision.

Tried again this morning on my way to work. I stop once on the way at ~6 miles--so I was able to use Park. I was able to Continue, but then again, it went back to my home screen before I arrived at work.

If I open the app again, it has no trip data, and asks to Start Tracking.

Any ideas? Is there some setting I need to manually change on my iPhone so it doesn't quit before I am done?

I, too, have experienced problems with the app. I just installed it on my iPhone yesterday afternoon, and tried to use it on my drive home from work. Was able to Start Tracking, and noticed how it was using locator services to track my drive on the map. But, at some point before I turned into my subdivision (was watching traffic, not my phone), it went back to my home screen on the phone. If I went to the app, it wanted me to Start Tracking again--didn't remember any of the drive home.

This morning, tried again. Had a stop about 6 miles from home--was able to use Park, and then Continue. But, again, it went back to my home screen before I pulled into the parking lot, and didn't remember anything about the trip. Is it a time issue? I noticed that Mr. eV said his problem occurred at about 72-73 miles. But mine is occurring before 50 miles. It is about a one hour trip from home to work (and about 1 1/2 hours to work, because I stop on the way for breakfast).

@BMW_Matt Quick update .. I just logged a 15 mile trip with the iPhone app and nothing for the 27th shows up in the web dashboard so far.

I've seen the same thing . . . Nothing has been added/posted since the morning of 4/26. Facebook shows/logs the posts.

I've done some more testing for the "getting lost" part of the post . . . I killed all applications before starting my next trip. The only thing running on the iPhone was EVolve & Phone. The app only recorded 44 miles of my trip.

Finally, noting was posted to the website. I tried to manually edit the information into the website and it looks good. I now see the cost savings . . . which I have yet to see thus far.

Okay, guys... Thanks again for bringing your concerns to our attention.

Regarding the app getting "lost" during your commute and the battery life issue, these will both be addressed in our next update, which is being submitted to Apple tomorrow. Can't promise when the update will be released, as it will go through Apple's approval process first. We're guessing it will be available early next week.

As for the gas price comparison at $2.50/gallon, we are looking at several options now, including allowing you to update, automatically updating, and others. This will not be a part of the update we're submitting tomorrow but should be included in an update soon.
