I noticed that of all the people who listed their VINs on the thread started by BMW_Matt offering to give us "1 of 700" avatars, mine was the only beginning with the letters"VP."

All the others listed start with the letters "VS."

Are there any other VINs out there beginning with "VP"?

Mine is a VP. picked up in SoCal on 2/29.

I was referring to the letters in the last 7 positions (preceding the final 5 numbers) of the VIN -- this is the actual vehicle unique serial number. The rest of the numbers and letters in the VIN relate to manufacturer, place of production, type of restraint system, specific vehicle model, etc.
